Chessington is situated just 12 miles from central London and is a theme park and zoo. There are ten themed areas within the park which are Beanoland, the Forbidden Kingdom, Mexicana, Mystic East, Pirates Cove, Transylvania, Toytown, Market Square, Land of the Dragons, and Chesssington Zoo.
There are a variety of rides from the high speed twists and turns of thriller coasters to the more gentle rides found in Beanoland and Toytown. In between rides there are daily live theatre shows and plenty of places to eat.
The zoo contains exotic animals like Lions, Tigers, Monkeys, Gorillas, Sea Lions and Leopards but also has Children’s zoo with baby goats, sheep and rabbits. Recently opened is a 250,000 liter aquarium with interactive touch pools and a walkthrough ocean tank.
